New England Biolabs were seeking a highly technical candidate in Genomics, I was able to place Michael Skelly to cover the Scotland and North England territory. This role gave me personal satisfaction as the role had been open for over a year, which I was able to spin within 6 weeks.
Enzo Life Sciences are experts in Genomics, PCR and Flow Cytometry. I was able to place Alexa Dannels to cover their Pacific Northwest territory. This was a placement I take pride in as this was the first candidate in this territory, therefore I felt I was helping with the growth of Enzo.
Andor was seeking a Europe Sales Manager with expertise in Confocal Microscopy. I was able to provide a shortlist of exceptional candidates with one stand-out Emily Spencer, through my knowledge of the Microscopy market in Europe.
Due to my technical background, I feel in sales it is essential to have a genuine and keen interest in the product you are working with. Furthermore, the ability to speak with clients regarding their portfolio on a technical level as well as commercial is an element of my role which I enjoy.
Problem-solving is a key skill in everyday life, even more so in the analytical instrumentation market, whether this be sample analysis, method development or data interpretation. For me, this is a stimulating and rewarding side of the job.
Since Q2 of 2023, I have been supporting Oxford Instruments' expansion into the APAC territory, as well as for their subsidiaries Andor and Witec.
This project stands out to me as I enjoy the responsibility of helping a company grow into a new area with new markets and a new customer base. I take pride in offering my knowledge of the market and APAC to aid Oxford Instruments' transition into a completely global company.
